A Giclée is a work of art in itself and increases in value when production is strictly limited. Giclée (pronounced "zhee-clay") is a French term meaning "spray of ink." A Giclée is a high-quality, limited edition reproduction in which the image and topology are generated from a digital file and printed with high saturation, museum quality jet ink, oil paint or acrylic paint onto archival canvas. This method of fine art printing is known for its brilliant color reproduction and detail. The prints match the original piece of art, because of the millions of possible hues of inks or paint. Traditionally the size of the Giclée is slightly smaller than the size of the original painting.
