Working as a Senior Designer at Nancy Gardner Design, Terrie specialized in corporate and retail design for organizations such as Dayton-Hudson-Marshall Fields and Target. She was honored with another design award for her corporate identity and collateral materials roll out for Powderhorn Mountaineering.

After taking a break to raise her children, Terrie shifted her vision to classical art and architecture, attending the Atelier Studio Program of Fine Art (formerly known as Atelier Lack) in Minneapolis. Her proficiency for architectural design was firmly established when Terrie single-handedly designed, and then had built, their contemporary Madeline Island, WI lake home, with every detail—even down to the space dividers in the drawers—created by Terrie.

“Design is my first love, and all my creativity radiates from that core. Compelling design is the key to every exceptional work of art. Extraordinary technical skill, without a captivating design, will never produce a superb, timeless piece of art. My challenge—and my frustration—is that my head is filled with so many paintings I’ve designed that my hands can’t keep up!”
